| Employment Services Overview |
Employment Services Programs The IMAA Employment Services Programs exist to assist individuals who are unemployed and struggling to become self-reliant. IMAA’s core efforts are focused upon helping people-- including immigrants and refugees—to get on their feet by guiding them through the complex systems that are a feature of modern American life. The IMAA Employment Services staff embodies the concept of a “one-stop shop”. Clients are referred to IMAA by Olmsted County Community Services, Catholic Charities, or community members. Their needs are then individually assessed in a culturally appropriate manner by a bi-lingual case worker who speaks their native language. Through the use of a universal intake checklist, clients are then referred to programs, both internal and external to IMAA that will help fulfill their needs while working to attain self-sufficiency. Employment Services Programs are staffed by IMAA’s six bi-lingual case managers and offer a wide range of support such as bilingual case management, job search assistance, job coaching, and employment related support services such as childcare assistance, transportation, housing, and referrals.
